Architecting Global Trust,
a Data Engineer's Perspective
Based on the recent UN meetings in Geneva,
I'd like to share my thoughts on...
1) the emerging UN standards
2) the carbon border adjustment mechanisms that are coming out of Europe
3) digital product passports
4) how organisations and data engineers locally can prepare and collaborate to engage with those emerging standards and approaches, particularly when it comes to environmental, social and governance ESG regulatory type activities.
What your audience can expect...
I am proposing a timely topic and something that will continue to be an important conversation in our field.
This includes a discussion around the open-source tooling that can support people's participation in the ecosystem. This gives everyone in the audience the opportunity and tools to explore these opportunities to solve real-world problems, speed up production and deliver high-value.
Key Take-Aways
The key take-aways the data engineering community will get out of this conversation, are tangible, actionable steps to engage in the transition the world is making as we start tracking carbon as well as other environmental, social and governance factors in our day to day business. This talk highlights how our technical skills can be applied to the massive global changes that are coming.
